Production partner
Your production team in Mexico, built around your workflow
Your vision. Your client. Our execution.
A production partner in Mexico is a local team that delivers the technical side of your event or broadcast while you keep the creative concept, the client relationship and the show direction. First Impact translates your agreed brief into coordinated local technical production: venue advance, equipment, crew, testing, rehearsals and live operation.
How we integrate with your team
Integration is practical: shared documents, clear owners and tests before show day.
Your brief guides the work
Your brief, rider, run of show and platforms are the starting point. Where the venue or budget makes something impractical, we say so early and propose alternatives.
Technical scope and responsibilities are agreed
A written scope and a responsibilities list show who owns each system, each decision and each communication line.
Local coordination connects your team with venue and crew
One technical lead advances the venue, manages our crew and relays your producer’s calls on site.
Testing comes before the audience
Rehearsals, and simulations when a workflow is new, find problems away from the live event.
Relationships and permissions are agreed where relevant
Client contact, branding, white label, confidentiality and portfolio permissions are set in writing before work starts.
Technical planning, not creative ownership
We plan and deliver
- Technical systems design for the agreed scope

- Testing, rehearsals and live operation
- Agreed recordings and technical deliverables
You keep
- Creative concept, content and show design
- Show direction and the run of show
- The relationship with your client

- Final decisions on scope and budget
A typical responsibilities list
Every project gets its own version. This example shows the kind of decisions it records.

For international teams
What international buyers usually ask
If your team is outside Mexico, these are the points we settle early.
Who coordinates locally?
A named First Impact technical lead is your contact for the agreed scope and represents your production with the venue and our crew.
How are our technical requirements implemented?
We review your rider and signal flow, confirm local equivalents and substitutions in writing, and document the handover points with your team.
How are venue, equipment, crew and schedules coordinated?
We advance the venue, confirm access windows and power, and build a crew plan and schedule that you approve.
How do you work with our remote production team?
We connect into your workflow, agree intercom and call procedures, and test with your remote team before show day.
What is included and excluded?
The proposal lists inclusions, exclusions and assumptions. Items depending on the venue or third parties are listed separately.
How are communication and scope changes handled?
We agree a communication rhythm across time zones. Scope changes are confirmed in writing with any cost or schedule effect before they are carried out.
For teams in Mexico
The same clarity for Mexican agencies and companies
Mexican agencies, producers and corporate teams get the same written scope, the same responsibilities list and the same technical lead, in Spanish from the first call.
If you work with international headquarters or speakers, we can document and report in English as well.
What we coordinate locally
- Venue advance and technical coordination
- Site visits and room measurements
- Internet and connectivity review
- Equipment sourcing and compatibility checks
- Crew, transport, set-up and strike
- Coordination in Spanish and English
- Technical rehearsals and workflow tests
- Contingency planning for critical moments
Case study
ICON: integrating into a global broadcast producer’s workflow
DV4 designed the global architecture and directed the broadcast. Castelein AV, the team behind First Impact, built and ran the Mexico City hub around DV4’s workflow, and tested it in a two-room warehouse simulation before show day.

Frequently asked questions
We are an international producer with an event in Mexico. Can you be our local team?
Yes. This is one of the main reasons First Impact exists: you bring the production and the creative direction, and we provide the local technical side in Mexico.
That covers equipment, crew, venue coordination, set-up, rehearsals and live operation, aligned with your rider, your signal handovers and your schedule. ICON’s global hybrid event and the Milken Institute symposium, briefed through a UK agency, are examples.
Also asked as: Can you handle the complete AV production for an international event in Mexico?
· I am an international event producer and need a reliable local AV production partner in Mexico.

Where in Mexico do you work?
We work throughout Mexico. Most productions take place in Mexico City and Central Mexico, including Querétaro, and we also travel for productions elsewhere in the country.
For projects outside the Mexico City area, logistics, travel and crew accommodation are planned and quoted for the specific location.
Also asked as: Do you provide AV production throughout Mexico?
· Which cities in Mexico do you cover?
Can you provide local equipment and crew for a team travelling to Mexico?
Yes. Supplying equipment and crew locally avoids shipping gear and flying in a full team, and for most items it avoids temporary-import paperwork.
Your key people can travel and direct while our crew installs and operates the systems. We agree in advance which equipment you bring, what we supply, and how the two connect.
Also asked as: Do we need to ship AV equipment to Mexico?
· Can you supply crew so we only send our key people?

Can you integrate with our existing production workflow?
Yes. We start from your workflow, including your signal flow, platforms, file formats and schedule, and build the local side to match it.
When a workflow is new to the venue or the team, we test it before show day. For ICON’s global hybrid event we built a two-room simulation in a warehouse to test the producer’s proposed workflow before installing it in the client’s building.
Also asked as: Can a local AV company in Mexico work with our US or European production team?
· Will you adapt to the way our team already works?

Can we hire you for just one part of the production?
Yes. Many projects only need us for specific systems, for example the LED wall and video switching, the cameras and stream, or the audio for a plenary room.
Tell us which parts are already covered and by whom. We then define where our scope starts and ends, which signals we hand over, and who operates what, so nothing falls between suppliers and nothing is booked twice.
Also asked as: Can we hire you just for the livestream?
· Can you provide only the LED and video for our event?

Can you coordinate with the venue’s AV team?
Yes. Many hotels and convention centres have an in-house AV provider, and we coordinate with them on access, power, house systems and responsibilities.
Some venues apply their own policies or charges when an external production company works on site. Those terms are set by the venue, so we check them early and include them in the planning rather than discovering them on load-in day.
Also asked as: The hotel has its own AV company. Can you work alongside them?
· Do you work with in-house venue AV providers?
Do you implement an existing creative concept?
Yes. Most of our work starts from a concept the client or agency has already approved. We turn that brief into a written technical scope, work out how to deliver it in the actual venue, and raise practical limits early.
We plan technical systems and production workflows. We do not take ownership of the creative concept, the content or the show design unless that is explicitly agreed.
Also asked as: We already have the creative. Can you just produce it?
· Can you execute an agency’s event design?
Local Production Support for Agencies and International Producers
Can you work under our producer’s direction?
Yes. Your producer or show director calls the show; our crew operates the agreed systems and takes cues from them.
Before the event we agree communication lines, such as intercom positions and who relays calls to the local crew, so instructions reach the right operator without delay.
Also asked as: Will your crew take cues from our show caller?
· Who directs the show when we hire you?
How do you handle confidentiality and portfolio permissions?
We treat project information as confidential and sign a separate confidentiality agreement when you require one.
We only publish a project, photos or a case study with permission. Where a case study names an agency, a producer or an end client, their roles are described as agreed, and our role is stated accurately.
Also asked as: Will you sign an NDA?
· Can you keep our project off your portfolio?
Can international companies contract your services?
Yes. International agencies, producers and companies contract us for productions in Mexico.
The contracting and invoicing arrangements, including which entity invoices, currency, taxes and payment terms, are confirmed in each proposal, because they depend on the client’s location and the project structure.
Also asked as: Can a US or European company hire you directly?
· Do you work with foreign clients?
